Zapthen Privacy Policy

Zapthen has no account, and the app contains no analytics or crash reporting. The text you select leaves your Mac only when you click an action that needs the network. The text you selected and the actions you clicked are recorded on this Mac to adjust the ordering and are never uploaded.
1. Data flow
This table says, item by item, where each kind of data lives and where it goes.

2. What we do not collect
We do not collect accounts, phone numbers or email addresses (except when you write to us), the text you select, usage statistics or crash reports. Zapthen contains no advertising and no tracking components.
3. Permissions
Zapthen needs the Accessibility permission to read the text you select. It never reads the contents of password fields. Add to-do needs the Reminders permission, which is requested only when you use that action.
4. Third parties
- Apple: system translation, Reminders, notarization and system update services.
- Cloudflare: hosts this website, the installer and the update list.
- Services you choose yourself: AI services, flomo, search sites, Fantastical and Day One. What they receive and how they handle it is governed by their own policies.
5. Your choices
To keep the bar out of an app, add it to "Apps without the bar" in Settings. To pause it, use the menu bar to pause for an hour, or turn the bar off in Settings. If you leave the AI service and the flomo address empty, the matching actions send no data at all. How to delete the local record is in the "Local record" row above.
6. Children
Zapthen is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Material changes update the date at the top of this page.
