Zapthen Terms of Use

1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Zapthen ("we") for using Zapthen ("the app"). By downloading, installing or using the app you accept them.

2. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on Macs you own or control. You may not reverse engineer, decompile or try to extract the source code of the app; remove or obscure any copyright notice in the app; or rent, lend, resell or sublicense the app.

3. Your content

The text you select and the content you save through the app belong entirely to you. It is recorded on your Mac. We have no server that stores it, so we can neither access it nor claim any right to it. When you send text to a third-party service (an AI service, flomo, a search site and so on), that service's own terms apply.

4. Accuracy of results

Translations, AI answers and the detection of dates and times are for reference and can be wrong. Check them yourself for anything involving money, deadlines, legal or medical matters.

5. Price

Price: Free for now. Before it becomes paid, the website and the changelog will say so first; versions already downloaded continue under the conditions they were downloaded with.

6. Open-source components

The app uses Sparkle (MIT license) for automatic updates.

7. Disclaimer

The app is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no express or implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from the use of, or inability to use, the app.

8. Changes to these terms

Material changes update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. This does not affect the mandatory rights you have as a consumer under the law of the place where you live.
